A credit card fraud is any action that leads to the account holder’s scam or the bank. That is, any method that is used so that you can lose your money or use your data and identity in an unauthorized manner by you.

Pishing is the most common fraud action, they are all those emails that commonly arrive as directed by the bank, when in fact it is not. They are emails that are intended to extract the greatest amount of data from those who open them, and the purpose of the same is to obtain the cardholder’s credit card data.



This type of fraud is done through malicious software, which is also known as malware, or Trojan virus whose intention is to integrate into the computer system and create a copy of all the data.

If you make purchases online, you will know that in order to process it, the 16 digits of your credit card , the validity and the verification digit will be required, since all this data is copied and sent to the source of the malware, where they can be extracted.

  • Before answering a form or giving information via cell phone or mail, call your bank and ask about the promotion or information they are offering you
